It was 85-years ago today that the life of my great-grandfather, Joseph John Lannin, ended mysteriously when he fell from the ninth floor of one of his hotels in Brooklyn, NY.

Questions were raised about JJ’s death from family members, but the official coroner’s report stated that he was “…overcome with dizziness and fell to his death…” For those who did not personally know JJ, the cause of his death seemed plausible.
